“Our high school is built over abandoned coal mines, which makes any construction a challenge. Williams’ Brothers and all the crews worked exceedingly well and delivered what they promised – on time and without ramping up the price.”
Dr. Ken Schwab
Superintendent – Pekin High School
The major obstacle was the project itself: building an addition connecting two buildings never intended to be connected together. In addition, both buildings were built on different ground levels. This alone would be challenge enough. But crews discovered something else: a major natural spring beneath the buildings, along with abandoned coal mines. Despite these overwhelming challenges, the job was completed as scheduled.
